Going viral is the easy part; getting paid for it isn't. People who found the tutorials started booking me to shoot for them, which turned reach into a paying freelance business.

A cinematic trailer for an original fantasy world. I scripted the narration, directed the voice cast, commissioned and coordinated the artists, animated the licensed 3D assets, drew and animated 2D sequences by hand, built the graphics, cut it, then wrote the title and thumbnail that earned the click-through—on a channel that started with nobody watching.

Title cards

Title cards for the Bullethunters trailer, cut in rapid succession, each rotated a little further than the last. As they fly past the screen, they read as one object turning until the logo appears, completing the rotation and pulling back. Still images, faked into motion. One hue per card, a dither pass over everything, and the type set inside the frame rather than on top of it: stamped into metal, shining on a TV screen, cut through by a blade. Built in Blender, Photoshop, and Ditherboy from free assets and my own photographs.
